Welcome to my redesigned and repurposed safe space, where I’ll be discussing my personal journey towards embracing slow living after being diagnosed with Cushing syndrome. I am not in any way a professional in the field of slow living and balanced living, I am using this space as a journal, to measure my own progress and keep me accountable regarding my experiences and insights as someone who is working to overcome workaholism and prioritize personal growth as well as wellbeing.

As a workaholic, I used to constantly fill my schedule with work and other professional activities to avoid spending time with my thoughts and emotions. However, after years of therapy and being diagnosed with Cushing syndrome, I was forced to slow down and re-evaluate my priorities.

I realized that my fast-paced, extremely high-stress lifestyle was not sustainable, and that I needed to take a step back and focus on my health and wellbeing. This led me to explore the concept of slow living, which emphasizes intentional and mindful living, and prioritizes self-care and personal growth.

Through this space, I intend to share my experiences and insights on how I try to embrace slow living and prioritize personal growth, even as a recovering workaholic. This is a therapeutic journey for me, and I hope to find others who may be struggling with similar challenges so we can all grow together.

I will share tips and techniques I try to practice mindfulness, the importance of self-care and relaxation, as well as nutrition and fitness. I will also provide insights on how to manage time more effectively and find balance in life.

My experiences have taught me that by prioritizing personal growth and wellbeing, we can find greater peace and happiness in our lives, and ultimately become more successful and fulfilled. I believe that through this journey of slower living, we can learn to be more intentional with our time and energy, and discover the joy and fulfillment that comes from living a purposeful life.

This is about progress, not perfection!
